Mosaic Voices assembles the voices of 15 poets from the central San Joaquin Valley into one colorful and diverse collection. This spectrum of work includes sketches of the earht, the Valley, the mountains, the city and the diversity of the people who live in these places. Poems about cultural indentity rub up against jazz poems. Political statements fit next to nature poems. Stories about discrimination meet poetry honoring family and life. Each voice illlumintates a different color, a different walk of live. These colors come together to form our mosaic of words.
